Anybody else having bother with (KB3194496) not updating ? First time ive had an update fail on me with Win10

Just a little update about this issue,it went through fine on my laptop, that also was on win 10 but a few versions behind my pc,still getting nowhere with the pc,seems there is an issue that MS know about, maybe just a case of waiting on a fix

would have been a better idea to fix the issue they were aware of before releasing it twats but then again it is Microcrap

mine had a failed update just kept asking if I wanted to update then shutdown or update & restart for days I just kept saying no shutdown as normal yesterday morning it fired up saying the please don't switch off etc etc then it took way over an hour restarting about 5 times before it actually started to use but all seems to have cleared itself now says no updates available everything up to date so I am not really sure wot happened as it happened to work without warning I don't mind saying I was sweating when it kept doing wot seemed like a continuous reboot situation

I have found you have to do multiple shut downs, not restarts and it forces the updater to find and apply. It is broken.

For anybody wanting to try this fix(at your own risk) worked for me.

delete the whole folder at this location C:/windows/system32/tasks/microsoft/xblgamesave

then launch Registry Editor(regedit) and delete this key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/WindowsNT/CurrentVersion/Schedule/TaskCashe/Tree/Microsoft/XblGameSave

After that just launch windows update and it should install fine.

Ps must have admin rights

Microsoft Says Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB3194496 Fix Is Almost Ready

[h=2]Clean-up script to be released soon, the company promises[/h]
The fix will first be tested with insiders
Microsoft has already confirmed that it’s working on a patch that would correct Windows 10 cumulative update KB3194496 installation issues, and now the company claims that it’s very close to releasing it to users.
Details aren’t yet available, but given that the firm says development is close to the final stages, the release could take place as soon as this week, most likely in the coming days.
“We’ve been working diligently on this issue and are finalizing a clean-up script that will fix the underlying issue preventing the install of KB3194496 (Cumulative Update 14393.222) for affected users. Your patience during our research and subsequent work is greatly appreciated,” Microsoft said in a post on the Community forums.
What’s important to know, however, is that this fix might first be released to insiders, as they were also experiencing problems with the cumulative update, so retail users might have to wait a little bit longer until they receive the same patch.
