Win 10 Windows 10 free update freezes 99%

My brother in laws PC freezes when he tries to let it update to new and free Windows 10 update. He has tried 3 times but it's always at the same point, 99%. As far as I know it'as touch screen ASUS, I'm not sure of the model

can you disable the touchscreen and try a fresh install? i dont think its touch screen , maybe other problem, what processor your brother have ? or can you ask him what model he have..

Im not sure about the touchscreen, I'll ask also, its an Asus 1612
