Hi Can someone offer some advice please

I was closing down my windows 8.1 today and it showed 3 apps needed closing I allowed the computer to proceed in closing the apps as it prepared to close suddenly the screen showed Windows Update Do not close your computer and then the computer closed down. First time it has done this usually when that message appears windows does not close.

Now I cannot boot up all I get is a loop when the start up reaches starting windows a message briefly appears stating windows had error last time we are collecting data and will start computer There is a percentage counter. But this screen disappears immediately and computer goes into reboot with this loop continuing.

I have tried creating a recovery usb and run the MRB repair tool to no effect.

Can anyone offer advice how I can restore computer to eliminate this problem please any advice would be appreciated.

regards

Does it not boot into[Automatic Repair] mode after it has failed to boot ?

Hi M8's glad to say part of problem solved PC now boots up however Outlook 2010 does not retain the passwords for my email addresses as I am running about 15 email addresses it is frustrating entering everyone again when downloading and again when sending an email. Any ideas how this can be cured gratefully accepted.

Must be some Outlook wizards out there :)

regards
