Win 10 Win10 taskbar icons missing and Start button not working

I had the power icon missing from my task bar I cured this by removing the password from my admin account everything written on the internet failed. I found this solution by opening another account without a password and the power icon appeared so i removed my password from my account and bingo power icon has showed ever since as have any other icons I select to show

No password on my admin account edogg but thanks.
Try settings System Notifications Turn system icons on if that works then choose which icons appear on the taskbar

open the task manager and restart windows explorer. no other way :(

Has anybody had this problem and found a permanent fix/solution to it
