New Laptop Suggestions

I'm sure there will be a time I will need to burn something or other

tbh wife likes her fitness stuff on disc

I was searching the other night and sure I see a samsung RW for about £18

just handy to have in case I think

did you buy it with this hdd
1TB 5400 rpm SATA Hard Drive, if I were you I would replace it with a SSD,your boot times will be much faster ,Radom read and write plus multi tasking

Ok so i finally took the plunge and bought a new lappy tonight. Went will Dell. Got the new dell 5000 17" with true video (touch screen I believe). New I7 5th gen and 1tb hard drive. Dedicated video card and DVD writer, 8gb ram and all for a decent price of £538.00. Dell are doing a 7% voucher at the moment.

I asked on Dell chat about the touch screen on this model and they told me this isn't touch
the only touch in this series is the one I bought mate


the i7 touch is this one (7000 series)

the mention of optional touchscreen is very confusing, I told them this via chat and they said they would change it (they won't though lol)

I was going to get the one you bought @kegnkiwi as its a nice laptop
but after using a touchscreen in PC World I decided that was for me, got home and kept touching the screen on mine lol

good choice though mate for sure
