Windows 8 password

Hi my desktop PC has locked me out of windows 8.
it asks for a password when it boots up but for some reason it won't accept my password.
is there a program that will over ride this or that will find my password.

cap on or caps off ? try admin

there are a few ways

in safe mode Win 8 has an admin account not active by default not password protected
