Anyone now where I can find plans and original game files for MAME games. I want to build a full size arcade game for my basement play room.

Thanks

Hi mate have you had a look on youtube?

As theres many great walkthroughs on there and if you hunt around somewhere on here someone built one but cant rember who and he had plans i think.

But have a look on tube theres many great things on there about it.

If it helps I have around 8000 roms plus 32bit & 64bit mame and quite a few front ends.

I used Hyperspin front end on a mame machine it looks great and can use other emulators too, like Daphne for Space Ace, Dragons Lair, Mach 3 etc... You can also incorporate Sega & Nes emulators.

In total I had 9 emulators with over 12000 games all running off the hyperspin frontend.

I also used Gamex frontend too, as well as the emulators it will start proper PC games, play videos and can be used as a jukebox playing all manner of videos, music files and also links to itunes.

You can build a full entertainment system in 1 cabinet.

I bought an old cabinet off ebay for £40 and stuck a cheap 17" lcd monitor it. I bought a dell opltiplex 755 SFF for £35, which has a intel core duo 2.33 with 2gb ram and a licenced vista, and stuck a 2tb drive in.

I have all the files on my FTP, if you want a login send a PM.

I just bought a jamma cab and added a jpac & pc to run all the mame stuff. You can pick jamma cabs up pretty cheap & change the artwork to your own liking.

I'd suggest joinging a couple or arcade forums. There's a couple of guys I know in Glasgow that have a ton of games, and might be able to sell you one

im finally in the process of doing my mini digital pinball machine , the scene has moved on a lot since i last looked ...
