A Scot failed his driving test in just five seconds - after driving on the wrong side of the road.
Craig Barraza got a mind blank and took a “50/50 chance†while pulling out of the test centre parking space.
The examiner at the centre in King's Lynn, Norfolk, asked the 33-year-old: "You do realise you're on the wrong side of the road?"
To make matters even worse, Craig had to carry on with the remaining 40 minutes of the test, which he drove so well it would have resulted in a pass.
Both the examiner and Craig's instructor, Steve Fletcher, agreed they had seen nothing like it in their combined careers lasting half a century.
Craig, from Portlethen, cannot account for his blunder as he has lived all his life in the UK.

He never should have had that 5th pint

If the TEST CENTRE is still in the same place, it was a pain in the a== to get in & out of that street.

I remember having a slight blunder in my test. The examiner told me to stop at the side of the road, which I did. Then told me to drive off again. Well there was a very slight incline & I though surely this can't be the hill-start? Distracted by this, I drove off, forgetting to look over my shoulder. I then noticed him marking his sheet. So the next time he asked me to stop (this time on a perfectly flat piece of road) I made sure I looked over my shoulder, happily resulting in a pass.
