Microsoft accused of Windows 10 upgrade 'nasty trick'

Everything about that lot is all about 10
hence the reason i still block it as i will decide if/when i use Win 10
some info & the tools needed

I had same issue, I just clicked on top left icon and deleted the upgrade date.

I have just updated to 10 seems ok but we will see lol

My old laptop finally gave up the ghost so had to get a new one, which has meant that I have to have Windows 10.
I'm getting by with it but in my mind it certainly isn't an improvement and I would say that XP, Vista and Windows 7 are better operating systems. Let's be truthful the upgrades are about making money not improving the user experience.

Watch out Windows 10 is full of data collection, key logging etc!
They seriously have you by the Short n Curly s I believe, Thats why the insistent pushing for updates, Sneaky GWX.exe being hidden inside updates.
There is a hell of alot of Privacy settings you can change but god knows what else you can't.
I'm know expert it's just not for me

I believe Microsoft are marking the win 10 update as a "recommended security update" so as you'll install it.

If You right click the taskbar, click properties, click customize notification area You will now see a list of running programs, scroll down to gwx and select Hide icon and notifications. No more nagging I found this simple fix on MS site.

I like win10 better than 8 and vista.

W10Privacy has a range of settings from mild to aggressive to turn all the keylogging, snooping etc off:
