Are you terribly worried about those three London ‘schoolgirls’ who have gone off to fight for the Islamic State in Syria? I must admit I haven’t lost an awful lot of sleep over it. The BBC ran the story at interminable length on Sunday night, the implication seeming to be that we should strain every sinew to get the poor mites back home to their loving and undoubtedly well-integrated community. I don’t think they should be allowed back in any way, as it happens. And by and large, the more similarly disposed Muslims who feel an attraction to Isis actually go to Syria, the better, frankly. Or is this callous and unfeeling of me?

I was thinking exactly the same thing this morning watching the news and Scotland Yard getting blamed for not stopping them going, I think the guys post above sums it up for me, rather than stop them going (Jihaddist) let them all go and then don't let them back, simple

I agree let them all go if they want to go but don't be letting them back in. Good riddance

If people want to leave this country let em go,if they want to fight against us let them go ,but if they return they should be done for treason.

agree with bronto,if they want to be trained up as a suicide bomber
let them go,then when they want to come back to uk to see their family
tell them to gtf and refuse them entry

also my thoughts on this, that the girls did one to over there, get pregnant, get married
and it be an easy invitation for their husband to become a leagle uk citizen when they arrive
back here, get benefits, houses and other things

Someone on benefits cannot sponsor a spouse to come to the UK and new residents of the UK are not eligible for any benefits for at least five years or more.

I agree that if people leave Briton to fight against us in other parts of the world, then it should be a one way ticket and they should be imprisoned should they ever return.

I do however question what we were and are doing in that part of the world in the first place, because ISIS wouldn't have existed under Saddam's rule.

Even if Saddam Hussein had gone crazy and killed some people, it wouldn't be anywhere near the number who have died since he was overthrown, so we only have ourselves to blame.

I'm with @Spectre except I would announce it. "If you go to Syria, (list other places) your UK passport is automatically revoked, you're staying there". Job done!

Agree with all of the above. A one way ticket and shot if caught trying to get back in the uk/ home nation

Personally, good riddance to them and all their kind.

Fcuk off and don't come back.

Not sure the Kurdish people would agree with you there @idrob > BBC ON THIS DAY | 16 | 1988: Thousands die in Halabja gas attack

The problem with Saddam was he started to think he could do what he wanted and even threatened the use of weapons of mass destruction against friendly neighbours and Israel (I know he didn't possess them in the end but the threat was there)

Had he kept it close at home and carried on ruling with an iron fist and not commited genocide against the Kurds then yes I agree with you ISIS would not of existed, Same as in Libya with the overthrowing of Gaddafi, Libya is now lawless and also the plots against Bashar al-Assad in Syria, although I think it's generally accepted that al-Assad will be left in power and start the fight against ISIS from there and it would be a big mistake to oust him any time soon, if ever

Looks like everything is going well!!

No, you are right, the Kurds wouldn’t agree with me but if you read the history of that region you will find that the British are the cause of the problem in the first place.

Kurds in the Middle East live in the former territories of the Ottoman Empire, Iraq Iran Syria and Turkey.

During the times of the Ottomans, the Kurds held a unique position. As Muslims, they were treated as equal to their fellow Muslim Ottoman citizens, whatever their ethnic origin.

Kurds Iraqi’s Syrians Iranians and Turks lived peacefully, side by side. Discrimination and conflict based on ethnic origin didn’t exist

The Kurds lost their special status when the British carved up the Ottoman Empire and promised the Kurds independence and a Kurdish state in the region, which was never implemented.

What girls ?, gone were ??

Dont a a flying sh*te

I Disagree with the lot of you, we should open the flood gates and let em all in.

Then Shut em tight and fill up fast :hubbahubba:

Essef :FLASHER:

i do worry slightly because they seem to be growing more powerful by the day and it seems to be attracting young muslims to the more radical element . but like people have said if they go it has to be a one way ticket .

Didn't Nostradamus predict this or something? Obviously not about the girls heading over this week :)

But didn't he predict the Middle East would cause World War 3 or something along these lines.

I read about teenage yobbos and everyone blames the parents and the upbringing and what they must see and hear at home.
So why here is it blamed on the internet, I think the family's need to be looked at, and what did they see and hear at home. The parents must shoulder some of the blame.
