Right to be forgotten - EU Ruling

Apparently you can apply to Google (and other search engines presumably) to have your dubious details removed. EU ruling:

It only applies to search engines operating within the EU.

Erm, the point would be?

None at all.

The irony is, if you search Google for the guy that brought the case to the European Court of Justice, Mario Costeja González, you get results for the ECJ ruling - many of which mention the reason why he was pursuing the case...

If it wasn't for google I wouldn't know who half of today's so called celebs were
