I do not know much about iptv but was intrigued how the concept works. With sly card share as you know many channels are dark. So was wondering how comes the iptv boxes are showing all full sly package. I presume it's still a little naughty how people are obtaining them, but great lol.
Any one know the answer kind regards

I am not an expert but understand the basics, I am sure others can explain it more.

Basically with card sh....., your receive the signal for the channel you are watching from your satellite dish (this is why your box is connected to a dish) and receive the encryption details from the CS server, via internet ( this is why your box is connected to internet.
What happened is sly has changed the way the encryption system works, so CCCAM can't open them as it used to.

But for IPTV services, what you receive is the video being streamed from the server (this is why you don't need satellite dish connection, only internet). Simple example is like you watching youtube videos. Videos being streamed from Youtube servers. Hope this help

I think the question is how are the streams being captured and re-streamed?

It cannot be as simple as a HDMI capture card on a sky box as the would require a box for every channel.

So once we know how the IPTV venders are getting their streams it may open up other avenues

Thank you to all who replied. A little bit more clearer to me. Let's hope long it may continue?

Hi , I'm new to this and looking at iptv is it a good picture or does it glitch or is that dependent on internet speed , do different boxes make a difference

Dependant on provider too

Most of them are resellers buying blocks of accounts from big global providers and selling them on.

The ones I've been testing have worked ok day to day but struggled with the extra traffic and demand for a small number of channels when there's an event or big match on.

When I first got mine I was unsure about picture. After several days debating I'm quite happy with the picture and definitely no glitching so far. Fingers crossed...
