Hi all,
I'm looking into getting a mag box as I've had a dreambox from a few yrs now and want to try something with iptv now. just wondering are these boxes capable of recording/pause/ series link etc. I don't see anything about being able to get an epg on them? ALSO if they have any of the above are they reliable and don't crash every few days?
Thanks in advance

I use the mag 254 and its a very good iptv box,A couple of providers are starting to provide epg guides but as for recording and series link i dont think its possible as yet,Let me know if you need a good provider as mine is solid

Does your provider supply epg guide? Yes I'd be interested in the info if you could pm me the details cheers

Hi all,

Can Kodi 16.1 be installed on a MAG250 box? and what types of apps can be installed?

Thanks,

Its a dedicated iptv box and you will can get vod through your provider,Im pretty sure you cant add kodi

read some interesting things regarding the mag boxes, i've just started getting into iptv and these do seem to be the best option

ive had the mag254 for a year now and its by far the best box ive tested plenty of others

Just to pick up on a few points.. you can´t watch Kodi on a Magbox.. The Mag 250 is the basic model then there´s the 254 and now the 256. All use the Stalker Middleware software..

I think that most IPTV providers now use an EPG but it´s really down to trial and error.. pick a provider - take a trial.. most will provide a 24 hour free trial. I wouldn´t pay for a trial as there are enough free providers out there.

A lot of new IPTV providers are springing up on FB.. a lot look quite good but only time will tell if they can stay the distance.

I´ve had a 250 and a 254. The 254 is better than the 250.. I´ve just started testing a 256 and it´s impressive.. it handles 1080P channels better.. that´s a first impression .. see what it´s like in a week or two weeks time.
