It goes in the newcamd.list file which should be in /usr/keys

Just add the line but remove the N: bit and replace with CWS= into the newcamd.list no need to delete anything :)

I did this document a while back, read the mgcamd section on what needs to be configured, although written for the DM500S images, should also apply to your box, path of files may be different

ok guys.....have another issue...i have just upgraded my vu box with the latest BH 1.6.6 image...also had to change the bootloader as instructed with the image instructions....ive done exactly the same as "wiz569" told me above but mgcam is not working..works for a few seconds then picture freezes..when i switch cam to ccam working fine...reason i want mgcamd is because my provider is also using it on his server...any ideas ?...perhaps driver issues ?..or new bootloader issue?..ta

Sounds more like a cam issue, could be a different version mgcamd with that image which might not be as stable,
is there an option to download a different version of mgcamd?

no options in the download addons manager that i can see...

telnet to the box

killall active mgcamd process and start one off manually
watch the debug info to see why it freezes

Normally to start any cam u have to enter the telnet window and then:
#cd /var/bin/ ; to change directory where is the bin files located
#ls -al ; to see the files there
#ps x ; to see working processes
#killall -9 mgcam* ; to kill all mgcamd pocesses
#./mgcamd_1.35a ; to start the mgcamd

and look in the started log what is the freezing proc
goog lack

Hi
Id like to be able to read this doc but need to post first ?
Seems silly asking questions when the answer might already be there for me ?
