Zgemma range. Steady wee boxes at very good price.
Nice skins out there and has all your looking.
I hear other members swear by VU boxes from what I gather they are much better and faster. But that comes with bigger price tag.
Zgemma on a small budget or the Vu+ Solo 2 se if you can stretch to it.
They can run some iptv plugins but not native kodi.

ip*v are very hit miss.
What some people do is get provider and run it in there bouquets.
That comes with HD.
Also consider the Mut@nt HD1500, 2 x DVB-S/S2 (twin tuner) and includes H.265 / HEVC streaming and broadcast support. We don't see a lot of non-4K HEVC broadcasts right now but may well do in the not so distant future and this one will cope with them if and when we do along with H.265 IPTV streams which is already happening right now.

Right lads, sorry about the delay here, I somewhat by happens chance I got an Edision mini HD Linux receiver, It comes with open ATV installed (according to box) havent opened it yet.
Any pointers on where to start, I'd like s*y Q skin and epg.

Youll find that skin in the downloads mate
Transfer the IPk to the tmp directory and use telnet to install it.
Any queries then ask with more detail of any problems your having.

sorry I got called away for work today, ive just connected up the receiver and seems to have open vix image on it, i haven't looked too much at it yet but there doesn't seem to be any softcams installed, in your opinion which is the best image to use?

Well Vix is officially supported on the Edison so stick with that. Personally would run openATV

Super job, thanks M8... another question I notice there are skin components, skin packs, and skins, what do all them do? and how do i check the ip address if the box?

Skins well are just that visual effects SkyQ skin for example. Some skins require a support pack that maybe what the skin packs are for not really paid attention to those.
Ok lads, I'm really struggling with this receiver.
Even Dcc freezes when I connect to it, it's just about usable but it's ball breaking, it won't even close for me without shutting down the laptop.
here's what i have.
Edision OS mini with openvix image on it.
I bought it from freetv here in Ireland and it came set up for fta including a snazzy epg which I love, only problem is it's fta only.
what I need to do is get their horribly tacky boot logo off it, delete all the channels off it, install rats plugin, and get an epg working for all channels.
If I could load sky Q skin on it too that would be a bonus.
I really need step by step instructions on how to accomplish this if anyone would be so kind.

Ok with filezilla transfer the skyQ skin ipk file to the tmp directory close filezilla.
Now start the attached puttytel.
Tick telnet
In the hostname box put the boxes IP address in it and click open.
Follow the promts to login
Now copy and paste this command into the telnet window.
opkg update && opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk
Hit enter
If your referring to sky
Use rats bouquets or Autobouquets its built in to the Vix image
