nbox 5800sx hyperion update

Im a complete noob blue. Tried installing hyperion v4 but its not working. I have 3 files on a usb stick but when i go into bu-4 and press update all the lights come on the display and it freezes. Any ideas please iv beem stuck for weeks now?

How long does it take to update maybe i am not waiting long enough?

You need the 3 files in the root not in a folder....your card should be formated to fat32 plug in the back USB then navergate to updt press OK on the box

theyre not in a folder i copied them across seperately. If thats what u mean? I have done what u said but the box doesnt say ok after update. I have left it on update for around 6 mins and nothing happens. Am i being premature?

I have just downloaded ur zip file now see if its any better but the site wont let me have ur update file

it contains the 3 files I use

when you find the UPDT hit ok....it should say reading rootfs.....then clear nand.....then writing rootfs....then you should see UPDATE OK, if successful

then pull the power and scroll until you find n-Hyperion or just NAND then press ok

same files i were using. i tried these but still no joy. the box just freezes on update. is there anything i could be doing wrong or have i purchased a faulty box?

I know the files I posted work...so you must be doing something wrong

Try another flash card sandisc and kingston work well. And do a full format to fat32

Blue your a genious. Update worked. No errors on screen. How do i load up hyperion now tho. nand has gone and if i click hyperion the box freezes? Nearly there tho thanks for ur help much appreciated

Do u think multiboot v2 would make a difference?

If i turn box off by the mains then on again holding the power button it says prog then fail. Does that mean i have a problem with my bootloader?

What options do you have....post the list

On the 1st boot 1.3.1 it has :
USBA
USHB
Hdd1
Hdd2
Hdd3
Nand
MAC2
NFS
U-b4
when i go into u-b4 i get :
ENV2 BLSA+Hdd
USH1
USB1
USB2
USB3
n-HYPERION
n-Fbox
UPDT
n-NEbula

You need to scroll through and select u-b4 press ok

Then repeat but this time scroll through and select n-Hyperion then press ok.....it should then boot

Btw you have v2 boot loader loaded already

Any answers to why it wont load? Can i try puttin somethin else on there?

You need to change to the correct boot loader as above, or it will not boot

You should see nbox on the front screen then loading modules etc

Im on the correct loader it said nbox so i kept finger on the up arrow and then selected n-hyperion. been on there for about 15 mins maybe. Its just frozen having a nightmare with this box

Try re flashing the image again if it fails to start, just in case it's corrupt

Scroll through to UPDT press ok.....after update ok scroll through to n-Hyperion press ok it should then boot
