I can get a 2T new for approx £170. I can't see the point in paying more for a Twin so its the VU stbs which are also contenders. However I'm not really going to consider shelling £400 on likes of Ultimo. So what do people think is a quality and stable receiver? And why?

There are loads of teams images to choose to install, but which image is most stable, flexible, easy to use, etc?

I suppose I will get 'its down to personal preference really'.

Cheers

Tbh m8 I have deleted more of these threads by newbies as the forum is full of them, plus they only do it so they can increase their post count ;)

Have a search around,if its only for 28.2e dont spend too much,

if its for a motorised hobby, then, for your own pleasure, get the best you can afford, something with blind scan and a sensitive tuner :)

I know about 28.2 m8. I've been using non linux tm's for years and finally got a taste of linux last weekend while playing with a 2t. I know about all the issue's with likes of 5302, 5402, 6800, 6900, etc and there are many and ongoing for ages. I know linux boxes have issue's too, so I just asked the question. Apols for posting like a newbie and I'm not that bothered about post count.

I'm thinking of going t2 unless someone convinces me otherwise!

Cheers

VU+uno is my favourite although not cheap, regards mdt

The new vu+ solo2 looks ace along with its improved hardware. It's costly but doesn't cost as much as the duo2 and original dm800se. They go for around £300 mark.
