what's default in dreamboxedit is not on my my 500s

the default location stated in dreamboxedit for both the service & user bouquets is "/etc/enigma2/" but i've searched through there's no files/folder with that detail... where is it..? what version am i currently running now..? any help appreciated

You need to change it to enigma1 settings,if you just press the "satellite receiver" button it will set them to e1 for you

The 500s isn't an Enigma2 receiver. Click the cog wheel icon and then click the "satellite receiver" button in the bottom right near the paths. If that still isn't your paths then change them manually
