Hi Guys

I have just made the switch from CCCAM to Mgcamd and everything is running fine. I’m currently clearing both cable and sat but had a question regarding the setup of newcamd.list. I have been looking online at newcamd examples (see below) and there is a mention of extra CWS lines in the file before the CWS line containing my server:

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000
CWS = xxxxx.dyndns.orf 8679 xxxxx xxxxxx 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
CWS_MULTIPLE = 192.168.1.2 20000:20005 dummy dummy 10 02 13 04 15 06 17 08 01 10 11 12 13 14 lan server2

Currently I only have CWS = my server in the file, should I be looking to add the extra lines to improve performance?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply river,

Do i need to substitute any of the information in the second CWS line that is relevant to my environment, receiver's IP address? Understood that the first line is for my server (N Line)

I do not understand mate?

"receivers IP address"??

you run it as follows.

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS = HOST PORT USER PASS 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
CWS = HOST PORT USER PASS 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

is your first line not for sly and second for vermin??

Sorry mate I think I understood it wrong. I only have one line as I'm using cline elsewhere in the config. With this in mind do I only need to add CWS_Keep Alive ?

if it's only "one" line set it like.....
CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS = HOST PORT USER PASS 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300 means that MgCamd keep an idle connection alive for 300 seconds (5 minutes).
Each 5 minutes, your receiver sends a service command to the server, and the server sends response to the receiver. In such a way, this connection is kept alive.

Thanks River, appreciated!
