Hey guys

I had a solid Oscam server set up on my vu+ solo.
My vu went kaput last week so I'm now trying to set my dm500 with pli jade 3 as the new server.
I'm receiving a newcamd share which I'm trying to reshare. I'm also trying to use this dm500 as a client using the dvbapi feature.
I've ripped all the configs from the vu and put it on my dm500, its working but its glitching a lot!
I installed the latest 'powerpc tuxbox old' build from downloads.oscam.cc
I even tried a couple different versions but still plenty of glitches.
Am I doing something wrong?
Do I need a modded version?
Should I try a light version?
Or is there simply a version of Oscam that is more stable on e1 than others?

Cheers

whats your nice settings in oscam.conf

OSCam requires almost no CPU-power. But if CPU-power is required, it should be available immediatly. Values between 20 and -20 are possible. 20 = low, -20 = very high. If this parameter is commented out (#), this function is not called. Important for example for dbox2

No idea what you're on about mate but heres y oscam.configuration

I think I remember that the oscam version on my vu+ was the ymod version.
Would this matter?
where can I get this from?

Thanks again

the difference as far as I am aware between ymod and emu versions of oscam is ymod can read keys file where as emu version cant.

I just setup a DM500S last night running either oscam ymod or emu version

I will send the binary files over this evening

Oscam_Emu also reads Softcam.key files thats what the 'Emu' part is, Only standard Oscam will not read .key files

got ya
thanks very much for that.
I have no need to read keys I think so thats ok.

I just remember that the version of oscam that I was running used to show what channel was being watched, not just the service id.

I just need to stop this glitching now.
I've got it installed as cam AND cardserver.
The cam stopped randomly working last night, had to restart cam on the dm500 :S

I am going to go down the operating system here, can you run these commands (they are Linux so should work on the DM)

cat /proc/meminfo
uptime
top

ideally you could run a bash script to run these commands every say 5 seconds and log to a file - when I get time at home I can do this on my DM. Then you can cross reference the glitching with performance of the box

I managed to repair my VU+ so the server is back on there again now.
its running right again so I'm just going to leave it as is

:S

Thanks for all the help fellas
