Getting Oscam to work

This line in particular makes me think my oscam is not a stable version:

I wouldnt worry about that mine is the same as well

Really weird as it kept freezing for line an hour. Changed the group from 2 to 1, it wouldn't freeze anymore. Changed it back, same thing, all good. Restarted the box, still working OK.

Wouldn't it be better to use the other protocol? It doesn't seem consistent at all.

Main reason I am doing this is because I know someone that told me he never touched the box/line in 8 months. And my set-up freezes when I sometimes switch on certain 19.2E channels.

I just did and used this one from here.

As I said, CCcam 2.3.0 worked for the past hour so can't really tell the difference now! I am now on 2.2.1.

Will keep and eye on it and come back and report if I have any issues.

Posting back so maybe someone can benefit from my experience:

Tried CCCam 2.2.1, didn't change a thing, it would still freeze every 5-8 secs for 10-14 secs and it would eventually work smoothly after zapping a few channels but only rarely.

It was too late last weekend so I didn't have time to try any other things, so I stopped OSCam and used CCCam directly to get by.

Had a bit of time today and tried it again. No luck, same issues.

Then, I uninstalled Oscam by deleting the file from user/softcams and even removed the config files, then spent an hour trying to get CCCam 2.3.0 or 2.2.1 to start, reinstalled both a few times, double checked different lines, etc, it didn't work at all and I assume it's because I didn't uninstall OSCam correctly from the Plugins menu? Really curious to know whether this was an issue.

Anyway, reinstalled CCCam 2.3.0 and OSCam r9620, configured it as advised on this thread and it now works smoothly, at least for the past hour. Will get back with more details if needed.
