My box was running slow so I decided to reflash it.

I reinstalled Open PLi4 and Mgcamd 1.38c-ssl1.0, which AFAIK is the proper version for OpenPLi4.

I FTP'ed my Newcamd.list, set the Cam to MGcamd and rebooted the box.

Now when I try to view an encrypted channel I can see my serve address just above the channel name (like it does when it is decoding the channel) but the picture doesn't decrypt.

If I press the Blue Button and select Softcam Setup I get the screen that gives me all the information you'd expect to see if the channel was actually being decoded properly! System, caid, pid, prov and ever changing cw0 and cw1 - just as if the channels ware clearing, but they're not?!

My box is a clone DM800se SSL 84d

I'm pretty sure it's running mate.

Where would I be getting the cw0 and cw1 keys from in that case? I've CHMOD'ed newcamd.list and mg.cfg to 755 just incase privileges has anything to do with it but no joy.

Is config file in etc/tutbox/config

Here's a screenshot of the Softcam screen.

I have a newcamd.conf in there mate.

Just for a test install ccam 2.30 put you n slime onto config file and FTP to etc start ccam 2.30 see if it clears

mgcamd needs two files... mg_cfg and newcamd.list

Do you have mg_cfg file in /var/keys along with newcamd.list ?

Hmmm, nothing. That's weird.

Yes I have mate.

I seem to remember having to edit the mg_cfg file once before but I can't remember what I done also it seems that only some images need that file edited.

Ensure you copy your mg_cfg file elsewhere so you have a backup and try one below that was taken from a dm800se but for cable (dvb-c) rather that satellite.

It's worth a try and it doesn't help then go back to your backup one.

Thanks Ferret
will certainly try this and feedback.

I have downloaded from the download section all files contained within user/keys for mgcamd. It was for a zgemma h1 that the user had set up for Sat and cable. the mgcamd version I instaled was 1.38r1. would it matter if the files were for 1.35 for instance.

Config files for 135 should work on 138

Hi,

I am using Open pli4 and the same Mgcam as o.p.
I was having a bit of trouble at first,in the end I did not need to edit anything in the Mgconfig file but I had to add lan server 1 at the end of my Nline in newcamdlist and it worked fine..
The N line opened fine using CCcam without the above mod.
Hope this helps
Aus

Did you manage to solve this issue? I am having the same issue and would be helpful to know how you did it please?

Just noted it is a very old post. Anyone have a working mgcamd with open pli 4 on zgemma h1? I have got it working on new zgemma h2h but doing this for a friend and struggling.

Same configs and mgcamd files should work fine mate between the 2 boxes.

Thanks for reply. I am using this mg cfg file right now on zgemma h2h but it is not working on H1 very strange.

Change this to turn logging off for this

# Log option, summ of:
# 00 off
# 01 network udp log
# 02 log to console
# 04 file, appended ! delete it by yourself, before it eat all your hdd
# + IP udp-port log-file-name

To

# Log option, summ of:
# 00 off
# 01 network udp log
# 02 log to console
# 04 file, appended ! delete it by yourself, before it eat all your hdd
# + IP udp-port log-file-name
L: { 00 }

This wont solve your problem but it help with stability

What type of line are you using and what image are you running ?

Sorry for delay in replying. Yes N line is in usr/key innewcamdlist starting with CWS= . I have also tried with N:
