I moved into sheltered accommodation in August and got myself a cracking little 1 bed bungalow in a small village called Cookley and spent a lot of time doing it up as it had not been touched for decades I recon and I love my new home and the area and feel very privileged to be given this property.
Anyway since moving in I've been struggling to heat the place..sure it has a boiler and radiators but there was no rad in the bedroom so no heating in there at all and I only had a really small rad about 1 meter in the lounge..no matter how long I had the heating on for I could never get the place comfortably warm and was getting really fed up burning loads of gas and getting nowhere So about 10 days ago I called the council and told them my heating situation and within 2 days a chap from the council came round to have a look..
Well he agreed that the rad in lounge was useless for size of room and could not believe there was no rad in the bedroom and today engineers have spent the day putting in new lovely big rads in the lounge and bedroom and updating rads in other rooms...
WOW what a hell of a difference it's made..it's incredible the difference i am so happy..the place is super warm in no time at all..
I have to say I'm really impressed with the service/support given by my local council in only 10 days of reporting my situation the jobs been done...I am blown away at the mo and ever so happy...

It's good to hear someone saying something nice about the council work. They work very hard and get very little credit.

Yes I agree they have been absolutely brilliant..
I called them last week as well about a blocked drain outside kitchen they came 2 hours later to deal with it..
Absolutely fantastic service and staff..
Can not sing their praises loud enough.

Delighted for you m8,didn't realise you had moved, nice one and well deserved too :)
