Recommend a new web host

Hi guys

So I gave been using godaddy for 5 years now whilst creating a magento site for kicks. I have to admit their support is crap however I have never really had any hosting issues as such with access to ftp or downtime or ssh. However its time to renew and I have been looking at a few new hosts. I did get a new host however that when I realised just how stable godaddy was. I have had constant issues with time outs using ftp and on magento downloader and their cPanel time outs.

So I am strangely thinking about renewing with godaddy again, something which over the years I have promised myself I would never do due to their complete lack of support.

however I was also interested in siteground or site5. Does anyone have any feedback or recommendations on these or any other webhost

Ed at Freethought gets my vote mate. Moved a few sites there when I packed it in and pulled my colo's.

Rarely any issues and when support is needed it's second to none. People often try to get the cheapest deals they can but you get what you pay for in this business and it often comes back to bite them.

Hostinger offer a free hosting service - Im using it and its fine. They have a premium service which gets you a little extra but it depends what your after.
