I am looking for a recommendation (bad idea, I know) for a company who will simply re-direct requests to my domain.

Long story cut short- I had to rush together a website a good few years ago and, at the time Beeb.net offered free hosting. Then they stopped it (sods) and again I hurriedly copied everything across to Webs.com. Now that still works OK, but I wanted to keep my original domain name, so I found a company (Redstation) who would simply re-direct requests to the Webs.com page. BUT now Redstation are getting greedy and insisting I take their hosting package, even though I don't actually have anything stored on their servers. (Their webmail service is shite too lol!), so was wondering if anyone knows / recommends a company (preferably UK-based) who can do this without charging £hundreds per year. Webmail would be a bonus but not essential.
I know Google would probably bring up several million suggestions, but I am looking for a recommendation based on personal
experience.

TIA.

Yes, it's my own domain,

had it for years (please don't laugh at the site- it works!). I 'built' the site on Webs.com, they host it, and for a small fee they don't advertise on my page. The expensive bit is redirecting traffic. I registered the domain name with Redstation in the days when they had a super-cheap hosting package (which I didn't use) I simply got them to redirect to the Webs.com site. But now they've discontinued that and want £100+ per year, which, although affordable, seems a bit steep for simple redirection. I only renewed for 3 months this time so hoping to find something more reasonable before it expires again.

I use reg123 l have about 10 domains and they have a free website builder too

Have you ever come across 1&1? I used them for domain transfer a little while back, and like you I was looking for a UK based company as I wasn't very clued up (there's nothing more annoying than not being able to ring up and actually speak to someone). But yeah it was actually pretty simple and they offer lots of other stuff too so might be worth taking a look at their site

Funnily enough I was with them before, but I found them to be a bit unresponsive to emails etc. which is how I came to find Redstation. Their customer support is a lot better, but at a price.

I've used 1and1 for over a decade and never had any problems.

Their starter package is only £2.99 per month (+VAT) and you get 10gb of webspace, up to 10 email accounts (on your domain) each with 2gb of storage.

Oh really? I'm surprised to hear that, I always found them quite helpful. Good that you've found one that suits you though :)

I used 1&1 many years back for a few managed dedicated servers and they were completely incompetent. It was all piped through Germany and never got anything done. Eventually managed to get root access and found loads of crap and other peoples stuff on there. Cut my loses in the end and shelled out for co-lo in one of the RedBus London datacentres. You get what you pay for I guess.
