Which is the best way to hide your IP ? some google add-on ? DNS ? .I'm on virmin superhub which doesn't allow you to add a dns to the router. I would prefer for the household or if not 1 PC .
What are you trying to do ? Why are you trying to change it for the whole house ? Why are you trying to change DNS ?
Why are you asking all these questions?
Why is it your concern?
Why is it anything to do with you?
He's only asked a question for gods sake.
Sorry but these type of replies really wind me up.
Have you actually got anything useful to add instead of wasting my time ???
I probably could help the OP if they could explain what they are trying to do. Seeing as they suggestion they started talking about (changing DNS) is nothing to do with hiding IP makes me think they can't quite explain what they are trying to do which is a very common issue in IT, people think about solutions before knowing the problem. And if they really need to do it for everything they access in their house rather then specific sites, it makes a BIG difference to the solution.
Now, do you want to crawl back under your rock with your tail between your legs or are you going to try and find a solution for OP ?
Because I want to , I would prefer to hide my ip when browsing and moving around the internet. I'm not smuggling small arms (well the odd broken barbie or ken) I would just prefer for ppl not to know my IP.
Basically so if anyone in the silverdale household goes on the net our IP isn't in full view. I just prefer it that way.

You could set your proxy in the browser to use free anonymous proxies.
Just Google free anonymous proxies and you will find a load of servers you can put in.
Tee hee. Don't talk crap.
The big thread title stating "Hiding your IP" and what he wanted to do was all you needed to know.
You just thought you'd be a clever ass and basically insinuate that he was up to no good.
Jog on.
To be honest ip means sod all, I wouldn't bother hiding it unless doing something untoward.
turning out to be a touchy subject this
