What the hell is ilivid, everything i try to download recently wants me to download it first saying its some sort of download manager.
Is it safe or just some spamming junk.

download "downloadthemall" and when it asks you to open something with that then open it with "downloadthemall" instead. May need to right click and select it that way.
I found this when trying to watch streams from internet and then noticed that was able to do it this way instead.

whatever you're going to download, you're basically clicking the wrong link. The iLivid link makes it look like the right one on the page you visit, it's clever like that. u just need to be careful what u click on.

How do you know which is the right one, there are normally no other visible links.

i often see it on all sorts of websites (some less legit than others) and it appears in the middle, usually as a 'DOWNLOAD NOW' message when (for example) i've followed a link from TPB. it's an advert. What u REALLY want is somewhere else on the page. it's a sneaky way of getting u to download it.

Its a pain in the rear end recently trying to get a ebook or a small file, usually there is another option to download like MoS says but its a matter of trying them all.
even cnet and the like have it, grrrr bloody thing

most are using so called download managers

trust or not personal choice

I know McAfee don't rate it as spyware when I've checked it out in the past, but as mentioned...down to you to take the chance on it.

This is spyware it is a tool bar which alters your browser settings directing your browser to them, it monitors what you are browsing and gives info to marketing companies and the result is you start getting annoying pop ups can lead to the slowdown of your internet.
