Broadband help

At the moment, we have broadband, with :Chainsaw:virgin:Chainsaw: and the telephone not capable version. We are getting very bad connection

Can anybody recommend a good broadband company in Reigate, Surrey

the connection at the moment we are on 8 MB and we only get about 2.5, and we have to share that between two of us. So you can see, it's not very good

Be Unlimited seems to be leaps ahead on this quick comparison.

It may b and probably is that u are limited by ure exchange and te distance u r from it.
My brother in law can only get 2 Mb Max.

Be do not give free anything. Not even an email account.

Purely a broadband supplier, but pretty good at it. Genuinely unlimited and no throttling of speeds etc. Being able to walk to your exchange in 2 mins may be a bit misleading as the copper cables may be routed in a diverse and bizarre way, and the condition of the cabling outide and inside your house has a significant bearing.

If you give their helpdesk a ring, they will give you an estimate of the download speed you can get. Max of 24Mbps if you are very close to your exchange, although we get around 10Mbps. But, it is reliable and, as I said, genuinely unlimited, with many members downloading 300GB / month plus with no warnings etc.

yes i think be are excellent with no apparent limits. also, when you call they will most likely be cautious with what speed they think you'll get, they told me 4 ish, and i ended with 9meg after some tweaking. also, if its important, they give you excellent upload speed. no long term contract either.

be is good, need bt line though. i recently joined supanet, so far been getting pretty good speeds and a reliable service

2.5 mb upload!! Bloody hell, thanks for the info, being thinking of changing from VM if the upload dosn't increase with the 50mb line, can any of you guys give an estimate of what upload/distance from exchange your getting on Be?
