What cable for speakers

Hello,

I need to drop some cable down from under bedroom floor into the corners of living room, I have in the past spent a bit of money on cables for speakers but I am on a really tight budget so whats best cheap wire shall I get? I am not bi-wiring so its just going to be twin wire to the four surround speakers.

Ice cable contractors range is also very reasonable too.

These are not that expensive in my opinion, I found an ebay supplier last year that was doing the 4 core qed pink for £70 for 100m

I use house alarm wire it works excellent, as theres 6 wires inside you get a great crossover just twist 3 colours on each end for your positive and the other three is your negitive, It may sound crazy but it really works a treat and it's cheap as chips much better than normal speaker wire!

I must be a cheap skate cos i just went some little local shop who had reels of "speaker wire" and got 5m for 3 quid. Works perfectly for me lol.

Ive got 8 speakers round my living room 4 main ones in the top corner and 4 tweakers on the back wall so probably would have used about 30 meters I got a roll of alarm cable for about £10 so I am a bigger cheap skate then you

What make are the speakers?If decent then use some decent wire,I've used QED silver anniversary XT for my PMC speakers.If run of the mill speakers,buy some OF wire from B&Q

I have bought £100+ HDMI's before and tbh couldn't see any difference from the £12 one from cpc...

Mourdant Shorts old but still sound good and can't afford to upgrade. any suggestions on the wire?

I like the cheap alarm wire suggestion though, if it works well then I am sold lol...

Go with the alarm wire,'needs must' and all that

Should at least be oxygen free lol.

easy enough to sink in the wall to..

Given the tinnitus...bell-wire will probably do lol
