tv set up issue

hi all
i have treated myself to a 200hz 47' tv and got a samsung dvd/surround sound and im running a starview box
i have connected the dvd to tv using a high end hdmi cable and on the starview there is no hdmi slot so have to use a scart ,i then plugged it into the dvd hoping to play my starview through it to get surround sound but cant get a picture
help please

Did you change the input selector on your TV
Did you change the output selector on your starview box
Have you been nagra'd?

dvd players generaly only have one scart socket, and its output only.

if you have a dvd player with the home cinema system & speakers combined, then the scart lead from the starview box needs to go to INTO the AV or SCART INPUT ON THE BACK OF THE DVD PLAYER/HOME CINEMA SYSTEM, then you need to change the input or source setting from the DVD remote control.
