I've got the box, it has openatv on it already, how do i check what version it is & is it possible to make a backup of it before i flash this image?

Youll need to change the name of the folder inside of the zgemma folder to the correct name you box uses. sh1 as an example.

Bought my second H1 which arrived today and it is running OpenATV 5.1. My first H1 is running Openvix Hades 015 which I loaded from Ferret's post. I just about got used to using Openvix Hades and Openatv seems to be totally different system. I would like use the same software on both receivers. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Also... what directory do I add my sealion in Openatv. Thanks in advance guys.

Flash the same VIX image then or a newer version.

From memory Vix images wont backup on the zgemma because they are a patched image from another box and backup software does not recognize the box properly.

Configs in OpenATV are in usr/keys

I downloaded the openatv backup on this thread and after mucking about for a couple of hours I have found my way around. (the blue button) However, having got my sealion into usr/keys, I see the line in "servers" but has a red flash on the left side and the picture will not clear even after restarting the network & the softcam.
Maybe I will take your advice and go for Vix if I cannot get the cam to work.

I gave up on openatv 5.1 & went back to openvix on the new H1 but I've still got the same problem. I cannot get the cam and sealion to work. I can ftp both boxes (different IP addresses) and insert the same line & cam on both but the new H1 will not clear. I am totally baffled. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi all, just wondering how I would flash this onto a Zgemma Star S that currently has VIX on it? I've put the files on my USB and plugged into the back and turned off and on holding the power button at the front and it just boots back into VIX?

Anything im missing here?

U need a folder saying zgemma and files in that , reboot hold power button for a second when u see the word usb

Make sure you put your USB stick in the Back, when your zgemma is powered down, and is formatted to fat32. Once USB appears on your front display take your finger off the front power button and "FLSH" should appear, then just wait.
