What is the vix4e2 project ? I take it this is a modified Vix image, that is separate to the actual openvix team and images ?
Looks like vix4e2 is a Lavatronics thing ?

ViX4E2PROJECT is a personal project of mine, originally named ViX4SH4 by me but change to ViX4E2PROJECT as more makes/models support was added.

It's based on OpenViX source code (hence the name) but with my own take on things and most surely NOTHING to do with OpenViX in terms of support, my aim was and still is to add/remove things that the masses tend to want from an image and not issue new builds every few days (sometimes of course it's needed - but I try to avoid this if possible).

It's not a modified image as such though but heavily based on their source code, it is compiled from scratch by me for each make/model supported.

Ive been using this for a while and it works fine. Box has not slowed down or froze, I like this firmware a lot. Ive tried them all, always messing with the box but ive left this on it since flashing it.
Prefer this to the patched vix as this has the clock on front of the box working.

Excellent firmware lavaman. Thanks very much mate.

Hi Lavaman

Could you please let me know if your project contains autobouquetsmaker? and if so does it supports VM? Thanks

Not Lavaman, but I am running this image and the answer to both your questions is yes. Autobouqets is included and it works with VM.

Thnaks, is tsmedia working? As in other vix they have removed ependencies and now streming did not work? Have you had any experience with iptv or tsmedia? Thanks

This I don't know I'm not using tsmedia or IPTV

I have tested this with TSMedia and iPlayer before release and found it to be working fine (I don't test with anything more because of all the potential ISP blocks - you'll need to try this yourself as that's out of the scope of the image itself).

Please remember that while my own VIX4E2PROJECT builds we're originally based on OpenViX sources (hence the name) I am nothing to do with and do not wish to be associated with them, VIX4E2PROJECT is very much it's own entity so you shouldn't compare the two to much in terms of dependencies etc. or at least no more than you might another image, say OpenATV etc. - All made along similar lines but all very much their own entities.

Wish I had noticed this image 3 weeks ago, it is excactly what I want, it actually does work thank you, please carry on developing it.

Lavaman Would you if the metrix-hd skin is suitable to use with this image.

I've never actually tried it with this image but see no reason at all why not, if it works on other OE-Alliance images (and it's the default on OpenATV all be it slightly modified) then it should work fine on my VIX4E2PROJECT builds.

I forget if MatrixHD is available already on the addons server, if not then give me a reminder in the morning and I will get it added on there for all available images.

Hi Lavaman, it is not available on the addons, would appreciate you adding it, thanks.

I've created an IPK of the OpenATV version of mymetrix this morning as this way it's likely to be the most compatible with OE-Alliance based images. I've tested this as working on the Amiko Alien 2+ (which means it should also work fine on all ViX4E2PROJECT images for other makes/models).

It's available for download now from the addons server (Menu > Plugins > Green > skins > metrixhd and once installed the skin choice can be changed at Menu > Setup > System > User interface > Skin setup.

Thank you again Lavaman I have installed this skin now and for me I now have the perfect setup, everything working as it should, respect to you.
