OpenVix Apollo 155 XBMC (for Sunray Solo2 only)

Source Date: 20/03/15
Kernel: 3.13.5
Drivers: 17/03/15 XBMC (patched)

This build requires a clean/fresh flash with no restore of settings due to significant code change in preparation of the new OE-A core. I therefore recommend doing a complete image backup of your current system first.

Also, some time in the future the 'Apollo' name will be discontinued and a new name for images will be then be chosen and this new image will require a fresh flash with no restore of settings. No time-frame, as yet, is known for when the new OE-A core will be introduced.

This is a plain OpenVix Apollo with no customisation. After flashing, you will be prompted by the Setup Wizzard. You will need to customise it further yourself.

I recommend increasing fan speed to maximum and turning off online update notification

Updating is possible, but keep in mind future driver releases/updates may harm your box. This image has the driver version patch and drivers write-protected already to reduce (but not guarantee) likelyhood of drivers being replaced during an update. Any updates done are at your own risk!

Credit goes to Sim2/Sunray team (with special thanks to RamiMAHER for the patched xbmc drivers and Gjstroom for patching driver version).

This image has only been tested on Sunray Solo2 clones. Use on any other clones may result in a bricked box. Use at your own risk!

If I update Apollo 155 should I update my drivers? they are currently 2015-01-09 using Apollo 152.

If you do a usb flash update to 155 then that will be latest drivers. You shouldn't do a online update or restore settings on/to 155 due to significant code changes.

There hasn't been much change in 155 from user point of view so if you dont want to do a clean fresh flash but you wanted newest drivers then see this thread here.
