NOTICE:
-tested on internal flash & working 100% , space left around 2.7MB , plez b4 going to download any plugin or install any cams or etc , u should use flashexpander or PluginSkinMover to extend ur internal flash memory otherwise image will crash plez only mount a media/usb to use either of the 2 options to extend ur memory

how to mount media/usb & use pluginskinmover:
insert fat32 formated flash usb pin stick , initialize it by system menu then check mounting point (u should already got a media with media/hdd mounted either internal hdd or usb) so new usb should be mounted as media/usb , now with pluginskinmover from plugin browser use to move ur plugins to ur media/usb & s u will free up at least 9 mb( if u move arabic plugin ,tsmedia plugin & openwebif plugin

Hi Guys,
what are the exact steps for getting this image to work with my HDD and USB stick?

Here are the following steps I perform as soon as I have flashed the image -

1. Initialise HDD
2. Format USB on laptop to win32
3. Plug in USB and Initialise USB

4. Try to change mount location of USB from media/hdd to media/usb

At this point, the system crashes...

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

-------

Just taken out my HDD and tried mounting with just USB stick but same issue as above...

If you press the blue button twice use device manager to mount it.

If you press the blue button twice use device manager to mount it.

Pressing the blue button twice just brings me up to a quick plugins menu...

However after another fresh flash I downloaded and installed Device Manager through the main plugins menu.
I was able to format the usb stick to win32 and it auto mounted the usb to /usb/media.
I then restarted the image and setup flash expander with the usb stick - restarted.

After the restarted the the box and checked the mount, it had changed to /var and I am now unable to change the mount location.

This still caused TS Media to crash to lack of space, so I flashed the box again with the same image and this time simply formatted the usb to win32 and allowed it to mount it to /usb/media.

I then used plugin mover to move most plugins and future plugins to the usb stick.

I have around 9mb free on flash but I am still getting plenty of crashes through TSMedia....?

Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

Id be thinking of trying another image by now nothing seems to explain whats going wrong here.

he has a newer image to correct a few errors

dated 25/01

Just tried alimac's recent image and same result with regards to the mounting of the usb which makes me believe it is me.

Can any of you point me to a guide or give me step by step instruction on how to flash the USB -

These are my current steps:

1. Plug in USB to windows laptop and format it to win32
2. Flash receiver with Image
3. Upon fully booting up, plugin usb and use device manager (download from plugins if not on image as default) and check if mount location is /usb/media (if not, use device manager to re-format to win32).
4. If already mounted correctly, from the setup menu initialise usb stick and then restart.
5. Run flash expander and restart box

So far each time I do the above, after flash expander has ran and the box restarts, the mount location of the usb is left as /var...
