I am very new to all this jargon. Is there an area on the forum where I can get some basic understanding of patches, keys, lists etc.? I don't know what they mean or how you choose what to use and when.
I am used to manufacturers of hardware and software bringing out new versions of firmware or software that you download and install using their instructions. In these cases you are relatively confident that the upgrades are compatible and will update all the functionality that you expect. But looking at some of the threads on the forum there are so many items being put forward for download that I do not know what to look for.
