This image is for a dm800hd original to use this on a clone box after flashing image reflash with sim2 ssl 84d for your box.

Because of the huge size of the Virgin Media skin some system files have had to be moved off the flash
and put on the usb/hdd, so your box must have a hard drive and usb drive installed to use this image.

It is most important to copy all the contents of to root folder to the root of your hard drive and also
to your usb drive to be safe ( for some reason in this image my hard drive shows as usb and hdd is the usb) these were the commands iI used to move and link the files:


mv /usr/bin /media/usb
mv /usr/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload /media/usb
mv /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10 /media/usb
mv /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions /media/usb
mv /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages /media/usb
ln -sfn /media/usb/Extensions /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions
ln -sfn /media/usb/site-packages /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages
ln -sfn /media/usb/gstreamer-0.10 /usr/lib/streamer-0.10
ln -sfn /media/usb/lib-dynload /usr/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload
ln -sfn /media/usb/bin /usr/bin

so all plugins are kept off flash to save space and give you a lot more room for tons of plugins.

Remember to set your netID, Freq and symbol rate for your area before scanning.

IMPORTANT BEFORE YOU FLASH THIS IMAGE PUT ALL THE FOLDERS INSIDE OF THE "TO ROOT" FOLDER ONTO THE ROOT

OF YOUR HDD "AND ALSO" USB TO BE SAFE BEFORE YOU START.........enjoy

did try this image , started loading then stopped ? must be the usb/hd mixup only had a hardrive in it . wot plugin did u use to put skin on hairdrive m8 ?

No plugins installed through telnet . Skin is kept on flash because for some reason if placed on usb or hdd it just loops, the biggest problem seems to be the way Pli auto mounts drives so unless your device gets mounted as usb the symlinks will be wrong. While in a loop status you could see what your device has been mounted to and change the symlinks to point to that device it may help to halt enigma with init 4 command while you work on it.

Working on a new image for this based on sept 1st Pli4 as this one seems more stable. I have it running at the moment and everything seems to be working okay. Will also make this one less critical about mount points so should boot regardless of how drives are assigned, The size of the dreamboxes flash is a challenge sometimes.

to install dvbsnoop command in telnet: opkg update && opkg install dvbsnoop

Just finished editing the Virgin Media skin so it can run from hard drive . Testing its fully functioning if all okay will up-load it tomorrow.
This will make it totally safe from looping after flashing all you will have to do is go to menu/setup/system/skins and select VMHD.
