OpenPLi-4.0-beta-dm800se-sim2-84d-ac3

At the bottom of the start post you can find the link to download OpenPLi-4.0-beta-dm800se-sim2-84d-ac3 !

With SSL 84d we no longer need the kernel modifications !

I implemented the ac3+ fix made by Athoik, see http://openpli.org/forums/topic/3039...dpost&p=380825

Please let me know the results, I'll put the patch (and ssl84d/original drivers) in the Daily build if it works !

The image is still 100% build from source code, no binary hacking or image backup methods.

You should have flashed the original SSL/boot loader afterwards if using a8p sim,if your box has the little flash up button on the back then hold it in while booting up and it should put you back at the **STOP** screen, you can then flash by browser again,

Otherwise you will need the USB lead and patched dream up or sunray dreamup to flash your box

You should also only really use original images if using the a8p sim

biggest issue with pli 4 is once plugins installed memory is maxed out

I was messing with the latest 4.0 ssl84D for 3 to 4 hours yesterday only to hit problems with plugins
Mainly and most importantly Crossepg, just kept green screening on all the versions I tried
After speaking to bhoywonder I decided to leave it be for now lol

I dont think there are any issues with 4.0 ssl84b though, the last one I did of that is still running nice

so if i install the oem pli 4.0 then this driver at the back of it. shut down the box insert the a8p sim. it should work then?

no still getting ca error

ok i was being blonde haha

First things first get your box back in a working sim 2.10 state

Then flash original ssl84 but dont reboot, then flash an original OpenPli image, again dont reboot, instead turn off the box,
Then swap sims and finally turn the box back on

I got it wiz thanks mate. i was flashing the image then writing the wrong bootloader. i actually just flashed with the oem pli without any bootloader and its fine now. i take it, SSL84 is for oem boxes and SSL84a/b/c/d is for clones?

Yes m8,in theory anyway as there have been a few versions of the original ssl84 but its still for the most part called ssl84 :)
