So what version of the chip do you have now V3 ?

Important to verify that you have a V3 Security chip before attempting to flash this update. This software is ONLY for the V3 security chip , Dont attempt to flash it if you have a V2 or V1 security module otherwise you will probably brick your reciever.

The V2 and V3 have a sticker on the rear of the reciever near the tuners identifying "V2.0" or "V3.0".

Also use a PC/laptop with a genuine serial port, dont use USB to Serial convertors. If you have a V1 or V2 security module you cannot use images that contain newer drivers with anti clone measures, you must either use older images or patched images.

I got the Security chip V3 from ebay , and the link : https://www.dropbox.com/s/jb3kowcv93rn592/Vu Duo v2 to v3 Security Chip Upgrade Guide.pdf.
I extract the files and run the exe, renewaes.exe file, and vu_2ver_22m_130110_sec_isp.bin file,
and open serial success! has been updated completed, power off, and power on again, box will show starting but still red light , now I can't use USB Stick update the image . what am I doing wrong? need you help please.

Not sure mate im thinking its a dodgy chip. But I guess you could try another usb stick too some wont read with the vu

Possible use google youll find plenty of info on that.

Could you take a picture of the V3 chip just so I can confirm that is what it is you have.
