New DM800SE with internal wifi but wont connect and servers not working,

I got one of these boxes during the week and it just point blank refuses to connect to a wireless network, I have turned the wlan interface on and turned off the wan interface have the ethernet unplugged and still nothing, when I login to my router to check IP clients it dosnt register and when I do a test it just says the I.P adress is N/A

I did get connected through the ethernet cable eventually and loaded a n line I knew worked, It got me all the channels for about a minute before it start freezing and disconnecting me??

I have tried 3 known working lines and none are working wired or wireless? any help with this would be great.

Dreamboxuk 2.1.2 , wireless works straight off

The problem you have is probably related to missing or incorrect drivers for the wireless card. I believe the wireless drivers can be downloaded from TS Panel.Or as already mentioned try a different image.

Which driver do I download and from which server?

what image you currently have on it ? you need to install TSpanel and goto

TSpanel/addons/sim2-addons/sim2-plugins/wireless-sim2-sr4-r12-all

I have the plugin installed and still cant connect, The box picks up the wifi signal and I use the network wizard to try connect first by DCHP and then secondly putting the info in manually and on both occasions it just says "Your internet connection is not working!" My wifi is working, The box's wireless IP dosnt come up either just N/A?

hi, just reflash another image mate, try dreamboxuk 2.1.2 wireless works str8 off, also can you change your router to no security just to see if that works ?? ,

Ok so I downloaded the ******* DBUK 2.1.2 image with 84b ssl integrated and tried flashing the box, it got right to the end and then I got this message,

"Flashing failed (!!! 010 INVALID IMAGE (OR OLD VERSION)), box will be unusable now!!"


This box is starting to do my head in.

Ok so I downloaded the ******* DBUK 2.1.2 image with 84b ssl integrated and tried flashing the box, it got right to the end and then I got this message,

This box is starting to do my head in.

flash the sl84b bootloader first, then replug holding power and flash as normal

yes it needs bl84b already on box before loading in that image, when you start box you can see what bootloader in on box by looking at oled screen, flash in bootloader 84b , then restart box flash as normal image , job done simple

OK first off thanks very much for your patience,

When I watch the oled screen b84 comes up so Im assuming I have done that much right, I next use sunray to upload the above image to the box, it gets the whole way to zero seconds when I still get that error, I have tried a few different images with the same result, please keep giving me other options to try as this is doing my head in.

Small update, There is finally an image on the box, On my quest of trying to find one which would work I came across DBUK 2.1.2 by aguda, this image is now on the box but its meant for Russia or somewhere and I cant even see free channels, I know I must be annoying some of you by now but I have tried flashing sat4kingz uk version a couple of times without any luck, How can I remove this image for the proper version?

you dont need to use sunray dreamup , 84 means its just 84 , you need 84b bootloader flashed first , to be able to flash dreambox 2.1.2 ,

Flash bootloader 84b , by holding the front power button , while replugging in power , wait till you get IP address and type that in pc web browser and flash bootloader 84b, then unlpug do same thing this time flash the image,

Success!! I now have DBUK 2.1.2 on the box and also I downloaded flipflops bouquets, Now for next newbie problem, I am waiting on a test line from a mate which I will have this evening, When I downloaded flipflops bouquets first the channels were greyed out and couldnt click on them, I did a bit of rooting around with tuner configuration etc, Now the channels are white and I can click on them but when I do, even the FTA ones I get error, "tune failed" I am leaving it like this till my mate can look at it this evening, is there anything obvious you can think of that might even let me view the FTA channels.
