How to: DW mod your receiver

Its a basic guide, but will get you up and running with the following

Rytek EPG updater
Cool EPG tv guide
EPG search
Auto timer
Zap history browser
Improved CCcam Ppanel
Jimux Ppanel toolkit installed
CCcam.cfg reduced to only needed lines
Jimux audio player (wav files only)

All you need to add is a channel list and any cccam cfg files

Who's done it then? was it simple enough to follow? what do you think of the new EPG tools?

this was rushed together, but over the weekend coming, ill make a more structured few tutorials, and upload some tested and working plugins as well

a quick question though is there way of getting rid of entering the password everytime you press the yellow button?

At the moment there's not m8, another annoying user unfriendly addition by UR instead of addressing major flaws in the image

Kind of like spending ages tinting the Windows on your car, and adding graphics and a fancy pearlescent paint job, when the engine is teetering on the verge of catastrophic failure due to misfiring, bad wiring, incorrect piping and by trying to run it on cooking oil instead of premium unleaded

Easy to follow instructions mate. epg functions, cccam switch and autotimer work a treat. But welcome page is still the UR one and not sure how to access zap history. Boot file is empty. Should it be?

Was just going to post DW logo page missing from your boot folder in the archive. You can grab it from the pic attachment to this thread

access zaphistory by pressing the yellow button

download the attached image in the first post, and FTP it to the folder /boot if you want the custom DW screen on bootup

Sorted it. It was missing from tmp folder. Musn't have ftped properly first go. Everything working perfectly. Now all you heve to do digi is sort out the hd recording issuing and I will be like a pig in the mucky stuff.

Everything has installed correctly except for coolnow epg. i get an error message saying..

Some plugins are not available:
Exstensions/coolTVGuide (No module named coolTVGuide.plugin)

?

ftp the cooltv.ipk over to /tmp folder, then in telnet type

ipkg install tmp/cooltv.ipk

wait for it to say TM800@/# then turn receiver off and back on at the power switch m8

And how do i make cooltv my default epg?

the picons im having a bit of griaf with, some work, but the ones that dont just leave a black screen where the channel name shuld be

use rytek to update your EPG data, the press and hold the EPG button, and choose cool tv guide from the box, you can also search the epg if you installed the epg search tool, so type mythbusters for example, and itll tell you every time its on, then if you wanted to, add timers to record them all

hi mayr i know this is a long shot but any chance this is working on tm600 or is possible to port to it??? reallly could do with rytec on tm600
