Cheers for info. I dont use 3G much, most of my web browsing on Iphone is on wifi but I do use it occassionally at work, would use anywhere near the allowed amount.

it was inevitable really, ATT announced this a while ago, it was only a matter of time.

By all accounts it'll only effect 3% of users who use something like 64% of the capcity.

3G is crap at the moment and almost pointless to use most of the time so if this helps it drastically increase in speed and utilise the 7.2mbps downstream then I dont really have a problem.

Id rather what apps i do use were punchy than have the ability to download stuff. My guess is this is to curtail the JB teather break.

That said, I'm going to speak to rententions to try ot keeop my current tariff as I note minutes have dropped too.

O2 used to allow your unused minures roll onto the next month as well. It was capped at 3200 for the 600 minute contract, none of that now either on new contracts.

it says for new customers and existing customers who upgrade to a smart phone.

So if you already have a iphone on this plan are you affected also ?

Bet ya they have made sure they covered themseleves in there terms and conditions so they aint breached any of them.

Also is that 500 Mb per day or month ???
