Basically my profile has corrupted on my banned console. I don't have access to a non banned consoleso can't recover.

Have tried the guide online using hash checker etc but xplorer360 won't read partition3 xport 360 does but the guide does not work for me.

Help would be muchly appreciated

cheers

Pretty easy this is mate heres a nice tutorial for ya hope it helps, I do it all the time without any probs at all, Im currently playing mass effect 2 on me banned console then just do this everytime I wanna play on xbox live

You will need a data transfer cable for xbox360 or disassemble your hard drive.

Hex Workshop:MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Xport 360 Works with all Drives: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

or

Xplorer360 For 120 GB: NEEDED IF YOU HAVE ONE ELSE PARITION 3 CANT BE READMEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Xplorer360 for 20 GB: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Step 1:
First thing you want to do is get a back-up of your current profile. You can skip this step and go to Step 3 B if you already have achievements on your banned console you wish to transfer to an unbanned. This is also just a precaution and can be skipped if you don't wish to make a back up.

Either connect your hard drive to your PC through the Data Cable or disassemble the hard drive and connect using normal Sata connections.

Next open Xplorer360 or Xport 360(directions for Xport are slightly different but mostly self explanatory).

Click Drive...open..Harddrive or Memory-card.
This should take a second or two and then you should see Partitions.
Select Partition 3
Then Content. Under this will be several folders Starting with E. These folder names are your profile ID so I can't say for sure they name of yours but if there is only one profile it will be easiest.
Select your folder..FFFE07D1..000100000...Then there will be a File by the same name as the profile folder. This is your actual Profile.
profilefile.png

Drag this file onto your desktop or any where you can find it.

Step 2.
Now make a back up just in case. right click on the file you just dragged from the hard drive. Click copy. right click again and click paste. you can then rename this file what ever you want just remember it is the Original. I would suggest just adding ORG or BAK to the end of the file name.

Step 3.
A:For use with a previously recovered Gamertag that is not corrupted
You can now put your Hard drive onto your banned console. I would suggest either just playing a game a lil or getting an easy achievement to test. Then move on to Step 4.

B: For those with a still corrupted Gamertag
If you have a Corrupted Gamertag that you have received addition Achievements you can uncorrupt that gamertag and have it add those achievements to your online Gamerscore. Just remember not to recover your tag from Live Doing so will prevent you from ever being able to add thoseachievements to your gamerscore.

Step 4:
Once you are ready to move your Profile back to a Unbanned Console hook the hard drive back up to the PC. Repeat steps 1 & 2. This new profile will have all the achievements you just obtained on it. Drag this file into a Folder you can easily find.

Step 5:
Open Hex workshop. Click File... open.. navigate to the file you just extracted from the hard drive.
On the far Left you will notice 8 zeros. Scroll down until you get to 00000220. Then go over to the right to the C column. Type 16 F's. so once done you will have FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF. It should end at row 00000231 column 2.

If your windows size it not the same as mine the listings on the far left may be different. Just get close to the number and look in upper right it will say data at offset 0x00000 the the number then just use the left or right arrow until you see 0x0000022c this is where you will begin to type the FF's.

Ok some people seem to be having difficulty finding the proper place to insert the FF's. A easy way I found is to simply press CTRL+G this will bring up a window. in the input box type 0000022c. Select "Begining of File" and "Hex" then click go. this should take you directly where you need to be.

Click File..Save. Close this Program.

or use this program

Just Click Open File and open your profile
Then click Remove Flags. (This Saves it too)
Close the app

Step 6:
Open Xbox 360 Hash Block Calculator. Then click File..Open
Navigate to the file you just edited.
Click Tools ...Calculate Hash Blocks. This should only take about a Second.

MAKE SURE YOU ACTUALLY CLICK TOOLS<CALC HASH BLOCK

Close this Program.

Step 7:
Open Xplorer360, open you hard drive. Navigate to where your profile is stored. Drag the file you you have edited onto the Xplorer360 window. Tell it to replace the file if asked. Disconnect hard drive from PC and reconnect to Xbox.

It may take up to 30 minutes before your new score is seen by friends or on XBOX.com.

This must be done each time hard drive is connected to a banned console. Its a bit of a pain but does make it so you can continue to get achievements on a banned console.

This can also be used to uncorrupt game saves. You have to first find the correct game folder your game save is located. The sub-folders inside your gamer profile folders (refer to pic on step 1) are gamesave folders.
You would have to locate the correct game folder, for example borderlands would be folder "545407E7". Under this folder there are actual game saves. Just select the gamesave that'scorrupted and follow steps 5-7 on this guide.
Big thanks to belenos at xbox360 iso for the tut

Brilliant. Really appreciate the time you've taken there mate. Will give it a whirl later. Cheers again

Brilliant, worked a charm, took a couple of attempts but got it in the end. Had not realised they coirrupt every game save aswell. what a pain in the arse, have loads of saves, will have to work through slowly.

cheers again

When I plug my hd drive into my computer via transfer cable, the driver doesn't seem to install and thus cant be seen by xplorer360. (win7 64bit). Tried a different usb port, same thing. Tried running as admin, same thing. Comes up with could not find FATX drive to open. Any ideas please.

Edit... just tried a 120gb hd and computer sees it fine. The 20gb it still doesn't see. Tried reformatting it from the dash, formated ok. 13.9gb free.

13.9 is standard after the partition used to play xbox games. Try Xplorer360 Beta 6 or Xport360

i am confused a little, my game saves seem ok my my gamertag isnt, and unfort its the game saves i wont i am not interested in the score...do i still do all the above??

Your games saves will be fine, you just need to follow the tutorial as above and it will uncorrupt the profile. When you get into the habit of doing it it takes about 30 seconds to do, vie been swapping away my hard drive on my banned console playing single player games like mass effect 2 and assasins creed 2 etc then uncorrupting when I want to play flashpoint or L4D2

aye i got it done just need to sort all the saves now bloody things :)

First of all thanks for the guide.

I am having a major problem though. I manage to do everything but when I go to copy the profile back to the xbox HDD it doesnt let me. I just get a circle symbol with a line though it instead of a '+' symbol. I can't see what im doing wrong as ive followed the guide to the tee. I have also managed to delete my original profile of the xbox HDD so until I can copy this new profile back to the xbox HDD ive lost everthing :( (HELP!)
