Rodboy- have you tried all the available Video Output options in Screen Settings, m8? On another board, a guy said this was the best picture quality he'd ever seen- and he's running a 42" Plasma!

Scanning:

@Renny: Good point, m8. Anyone having probs Scanning after Set my Location and who know their NetID, Frequency and SymbolRate are 100% accurate, then you could try a manual setup (which always works for me).

FTP into /var/tuxbox/conf and edit the settings I've marked in red to your known local settings in the scan.conf file...

Mimic all the other dark blue settings as above- and make sure the green item reads like mine. (replacing the * with i of course; this is board safety in action). This links into the cables.xml file and will enable you to toggle to another provider if you are NOT 6887 nor 6952 (VM)

Then SAVE the file and Reboot your box (or the changes won't work!), Then try a Scan again.

Yes of course mate, I didn't say the quality of the picture was poor, not by a long chalk my friend but was merely pointing out that IMHO it wasn't quite as good as Blade Quad. I reflashed with the Don V4 as this was previously the best quality for me and yours is as good as that !!!!!

For the record mate, I respect all of your work and am not here trying to piss on your fire, LOL :Clap: :Clap: :Clap:

OK, reflashed and picture is as clear as a bell !!?? on 37" LCD and is as good as Blade Quad !!

Fook knows what happened last night ( maybe some problem during the flash process ? ) but it definately wasn't as good quality. I'll leave it for a bit and see if there is anything further to report.

Not complaining AL...just feedback and I have no idea how it will help but anyway.

I am suffering freezing issues with this one no matter what combination I try, only for about 10 seconds and it comes back but there you go.

No probs, Jaffa! If you have an image like Andromeda or Blade that doesn't freeze, then try the same emu/ucode combo as used on that, m8. It might also be an idea to try the avia.conf file out of those images, too.

Oh- and if yours is a sagem, remember there are 2 versions of the avia600 driver floating around. Not sure which one mine has- but you could try the other one?

Cheers AL...mines a Nokia 2x. Same emu and ucode combo on Laky pro has no freezing issues. I will try the Avia.conf from Laky pro in it when I get a chance.

Hey! I'm nokia 2x too, m8. So how come my box is so stable, it's boring? Check the settings in your Driver & Boot Options menu mirror mine in the attached screenshot.

Also- get back with your BER - SNR - SIG readings with a Red then Blue, as you might have a signal issue with your box, or it's connections, or into your house.

just flashed this onto a 1x sagem for a m8 and it looks good no problems and picture is just as good as any thing ive seen im using 42 plasma not had time to check everything out but did a scan and settings are ok for my area tw nlanarkshire. on first boot thought i had ss enigma v3 still like the boot up and the alternative aint bad.
well done i think this is a must try image for everybody thanks for sharing rating 10 out of 10 for me :Clap::Clap::Clap:

i cant seem to get the box to go onto radio mode when i select it the measage says no channels found please exe a scan thought it was something to do with a dodgy sagem i was testing for some one but tried it on a nokia and the same thing.

This suggests that the services.xml in use has been created from a TV Only Scan, therefore, no type 02 Radio Channels are present!

If you do a Scan set to TV & Radio then you'll have the Radio option- guaranteed! The radio channels can be sorted into bouquets, same as telly.

Well if you check your services.xml for all 'type=02' lines, like this example:

<channel service_id="1BC7" name="BBC R1" service_type="02"/>

... I bet you won't find any, m8! (Or if you do, they're the wrong sID's for your area?)
