North East England, but nowhere near Dutcho!!! Ba
This card is a very high quality card and at less than £80 is at an awesome price.

This will play most games at max settings, obviously not Crysis but I believe it will play it at medium on a fairly decentish res.

Anyone wanting a latest DX10 PCI-express card on a slight budget will not be wrong in buying this awesome card. THIS IS NOT A BUDGET CARD - IT IS A TOP QUALITY CARD AT A MID BUDGET PRICE!!

How much did you pay for the 512 version mate?

it also comes down to shader models aswell now 3850 is Direct x 10.1 already be a year before its ready for that and shader model 4.1 so its future proof it playes everything i want with out over clocking so happy as fook :)

Nope.

I didn't see the point back when I bought the card, DX10 games hadn't really even come out then.

List of dx10 compatible games

There arn't that many games that have dx10 at the moment, but some of the ones there are fantastic.

If you're looking for a dx10 card, then this is a great deal.

Is this one just as good or better cos it is overclocked?

Thanks

It is better mate, it is faster and has the full 512mb ram. Great card at a great price.

What is your budget mate?

Just to let you know the arse from the graphics card market has fallen out and you can get very good cards for £100 now.

The 8800GT 512mb version is about £100ish in certain places.

If you can stretch a little from then this is a better card at £89.99 delivered.

Or spend the extra and get this for £99.99, it owns all of the above and is THE card to get, best card for less than £100 at the current time:
Point Of View 8800GT 512MB GDDR3 DVI HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card

But if your budget is £75 or so then yes that card is a great performer at a great price but DO NOT buy it from Amazon as it is a market place seller and they will probably charge postage, get it here instead for £74.99 delivered with full warranty and such.

Will you deffo be going crossfire at some point?

If so what is your budget for each card?

The good thing about ATI crossfire is you can mix and match cards and get full stability, so if oyu bought a 3850 now and wanted some oomph in say 4-6 months time you could just add another card in there, a 3850+3870 would give you more oomph than a 3850+3850.

But if you are going to stick with a single card then just throw in the 512mb 8800GT from Nvidia for £99.
