Phone Unlocking unlock a k750i?

heya,

I have a SE k750i and I received a blyk simcard. I am currently locked to O2 PAYG and I need to unlock the phone so I can run the blyk simcard. Atm it says 'please insert correct SIM' when i put the sim in the back.

I would like to unlock it myself if it's easy rather than pay a tenner. How do I do it?

Also, does this reflash the phone, so I will lose my settings? And what are the chances of it going wrong and me not being able to use my phone?

I should probably mention that I want to use both the O2 sim and the blyk sim in the phone.

Nevermind, I did it. Anyone wanting to do this in the future and can't see how, I can understand why.

I also have the software for unlocking the phone. I will give you names now, but i'll see if I can upload the rar file to the downloads section.

Right, to unlock the phone you need SE Tool Lite 2 and simlockpatchgen v2.1

To upgrade firmware you need XS++ and some w800i firmware.

Beware when flashing, there are two types of firmware and they need different paths. All is explained in the rar I have put together.

I'll try and upload now.

ok so I've uploaded everything to sharebee, sorry it took so long.

This has everything in it you need to unlock a k750i and upgrade it to W800i firmware, as far as I am aware.

I upgraded the firmware, then unlocked that firmware.

So if you want to unlock your current firmware, you'll have to flash your phone first then patch that firmware I think.

You can use the SE tool lite which is in this package.

I do not hold any responsibility for what you do to your phone. I will not be responsible if you create a very expensive paper weight.

However, I have done this, and there is a guide for upgrading the firmware in there, the one that I used. It's very good.

For unlocking, I just kinda guessed what to do.

The best advice that I read when looking on how to do this was that if things go wrong, just stop for a minute, go do something else for a good minute or so, you'll calm down a lot.

When I did this once, I made a stupid mistake, phone wouldn't turn on, and I just started all over again and luckily it came back to life.
