If you ring microsoft and make up some bull about your wireless controller being faulty, they will send you a new one. Their number should be on the back of your manual or inside the back page. You will also need the serial number for your console. They take their time answering the phone but it's worth it.

I called 08005871102 freefone xbox 360 tech support. option 3. waited 15mins for call to be answered. made up problem with controller. they took my details. controller should arrive in 10 working days = PRICELESS

Try it guys its worth it.

Was hoping for misprice or something for a free XBOX 360.

just make the problem up i.e lights not working you have tried your controller on mates console etc or its not responding etc.

Just make up a good prob and expect a free controller in post in next 10 days LOL!!!

just gave them a phone. almost worked

but because the warranty was up on my console then they couldnt do anything.

this will only work if your console is still under guarantee. but they will give you a free one if the you are within your year of purchasing it. they can check on there computer to see when the warranty runs out.

cheers anyway, but anybody who has bought in the last year should phone them. be quick though, because if a lot of people phone up then they might get very suspicious.

ps.... i told them that the A button doesnt respond but the analogue stick works. and i tried it both wirelessly and with play and charge kit.

yep, this works, i told em i didn't have a controller in my box, they took serial number and address, a few days later i got a new controller.

when i rung my console wasn't registered, so they took my details.
if you get a serial off someone who has registered their console then the controller will be sent to their address.
