Nice, I also keep marine fish.

Great hobby, can get expensive though.

very expensive mate! had 2 marine tanks, just converted 1 of them back to Malawi cichlid tank a few weeks back. thing is you put that much into it you feel as though you got to go on!

i have a aqua one 620t with a external filter as well as hood filter. can any one recomend a good lighting system for this tank

My best friend has some Guppies and i love them! I think they are the best fresh water fishes for an aquarium and easy to maintain and so many varieties to choose from! The colours and patterns..so pretty. Plus they are always active and glitter when sunlight reflects on their body. This fish discussions just made me want to get some myself.. Now if only i could convince my husband? :proud: Lol!!

Fish keeping is an odd hobby... Ive done it since I was 6 !
Recently though, I cant do anything for doing wrong - seems like im cursed.
Eventually gave up with the "main" tank, its sat empty in the spare room :-(

First plants wouldn't grow, then then fish mysteriously died off, then it was cyano outbreak... it broke me.

In the past I had a discus fishtank but I had to stop it because a house movement and restauration. Now I'm building a new one but this time I building my own technic in it. LED lighting controlled by a arduino with tft screen :) Working great and now I'm trying to build the PH controller in that arduino system. For more information about this system google "iAqua". There are no discus in the tank atm but this is the planning for the future. Yes, its a very expencive hobby but also alot of fun :)
