I did a thread on my daughters hands and her skin problems which is putting her job at risk. She has started an apprenticeship and her hands are causing her no ends of problems with skin inflammation and itching and sometimes cracking.
We've been down every avenue latex free gloves creams, barrier creams and finally strong steroid creams from a specialist. They all seem to slightly ease it but only very very slightly it's still there.

She keeps her hands dry and clean all day and creams. The specialist said, (and it was the specialist that prescribed the steroid cream ) that it's eczema and more than likely nothing to do with work. It was by a chance I dropped on a health show last night on BBC2 while channel hopping;-

BBC Two - Trust Me, I'm a Doctor, Series 6, Episode 2 - Could enzymes called endolysins ease eczema symptoms and offer an alternative to antibiotics?

Cut along tale short the new treatment targets the bad bacteria only that causes the itching and inflammation and leave the good bacteria alone. Up till now it's not been possible to target "Staphyloccocus aureus bacteria" the cause of eczema.

This endolysin is called Staphefekt this targets the "Staphyloccocus aureus bacteria" bad bacteria and leaves all the good healthy bacteria alone unlike steroid creams which attack the good and bad bacteria.
Because this is a natural occurring product it does not have to be tested and can be released immediately. On the BBC2 show a woman was on with her child who has suffered with eczema and he has seen a massive improvement since using an on the market product.
The only warning is "If Staphyloccocus aureus plays no part in your skin condition Gladskin will have no affect".

Here's the stuff;-
Reduce itching and redness with Gladskin Eczema

You really have to watch the show on catch up as the test were carried out in Holland. Well I've took a chance and ordered some and I will post up pictures of before and after shots and if there's any improvement over the next couple of months.

Oh and my wife has suffered with Rosacea for years. When it kicks off her face cheek becomes red with hives. I've also purchased some Gladskin Rosacea cream for her. Dear do I know but if it works then it's money well spent.

i had really bad eczema for few years, had on arms, neck, knees, stomach and face. got so bad i would put cream on my skin and in minutes it used to feel dry again. used to wake up with blood all over bed sheets from so much itching that i had loads of cuts.
too cure i took chinese meds and acupunture, they also done me an allergy test. took me about a year i would say, now i don't even need cream anymore skin feels great

..............they also done me an allergy test. ..............
@deej01 did your doctor do this (or arrange it) on the NHS? Thought some health boards stopped this? I'm asking 'cos I think I've developed an allergy but can't pin down the cause, kept food diary etc.
@silverdale I'm interested in your daughter & missus' progress mate, let us know. Good luck to them both.

Cheers HH.

This is a solution for eczema but will only work on hands and feet. It will sound sill but it genuinely works.

Do this of a night, have a hot bath and soak the effected areas, gently dry and cover liberally with what ever cream the doctor has prescribed.

Now comes the different bit and she will need help doing it, put a plastic bag over the hand and seal it by sellotaping it up (around the top of the bag, not onto the skin) leave the bag on over night.

The effect of this is that the hands sweat the pours open and the cream is absolved all night into the skin.

The result of this is 2 fold 1st the hands will bloody stink the next morning, 2nd it the eczema will be 100 times better.

I have been doing this my self for about 40 years so know that it works

know one knows what starts eczema, even to this day it baffles the experts thats until they have finally targeted a one particular bacteria at the cause to quote "some" peoples eczema problems.
This new treatment also help burn wounds and diabetic wounds against infection and work is been carried out against the dreaded superbug in our hospitals.

All's I can say is give it a watch. It's not a witch doctor remedy made up by some company it's a scientific break through. These are not just presenters but doctors looking at ilness's and things that we can than can help or even cure certain health problems.
playback from 36:00 minutes in from here and it will be explained better than I can;-

I will do I am going to take pictures when here hands are at their worse then each day morning and night and keep a log so we will know if it's actually making any improvement to her hands.
It's her job at stake or I should say her future career. Her bosses are monitoring her and have warned her if it gets bad they will have to release her. She working long hours and is a rare teenager in todays day and age as she is learning and getting paid.

Apprentice hairdresser, we've tried everything. She rarely touches anything that's chemical based and her hands are rarely wet. We've had every barrier cream on the market and latex free gloves, marigolds, steroid cream etc... so it's worth a go.

I read what you said about the bags and cream but I can't imagine she'd put up with that. I think that's a little bit extreme for her plus she can't put her phone down for more than 10 seconds.

i had to pay, first time went to a so called eczema expert for uk. he charged £300 for an appoinment and done the pin prick test, and said i had no allergies apart from pollen which i already knew about. he just gave me another steriod cream that didn't fix cause. symptoms got worse

second time i went to a chinese dr as said before he gave me pills and i done accupuncture. he took a few strands off my hair and sent them off for an allergy test. it cost about £100 for the test, different prices for amount of things you want to check. results came back with a few allergies namely dairy and shellfish, while other specialist dr said i was fine with them. anyway changed milk for almond milk kept on pills for a year no skin really good no eczema for 2 years. only get if i eat something wrong few times but nothing major

I suppose what works for one might not work for others but I do beleive it all stems down to something we eat or put on ourselves (eat, washing powder, soap deodorant, perfumes creams etc....)

But eczema is like meningitis, we all harbour it it's just the unlucky ones who get the full blown abit like herpes which 2 in every carry.

From what I saw in the TV it makes alot of sense. I told my m8 who isn't the brightest but he has always has a way of saying things.
I said "It's trying to get rid of the bad bacteria and leave the rest in place" his reply, "Ah right I get ya, it's like having a grey pube, you don't shave your nuts just get rid of the one" I just slowly nodded

The gladskin cream for rosacea arrived but were still waiting on my daughter's hand cream.
The missus has had rosacea on the right side of her face since she were young. It flairs up at anytime, very red skin plus sore to touch acne type spots.
The doctor a has always prescribed strong steroids but they don't seem to work.
Rather than just use the gladskin cream she waited till the rosacea kicked off which it did this Saturday.
Normally it would take 10-14 days for the rosacea to come and go so as soon as she noticed the rosacea and the sore spots appear she applied the rosacea gladskin cream 3 times a day Saturday and Sunday.
After two days her face has 80-90% cleared. She is mesmorised by how quick the cream has worked especially after suffering for years with it.
All's I can say is, the gladskin rosacea cream worked and stopped her rosacea in it's tracks. The wife is made up and will now use the cream regular now she knows it works.
I think it was about £18 for the tube but considering what she was spending on prescriptions for steroids it's a saving and money well spent.

That's great news m8 I am glad it was a success for your Wife. I will make a little note of this treatment for future reference. Thanks. :goodpost:

She took pictures before/after she used the Gladskin, I'll upload them then you can see the difference it made in only two days. Normally she'd be plagued for up to 14 days so she's made up

Her cameras a bit sh*t , the first pics after using the cream for 2 days only and it's got the flash on but you get the general idea. Normally she would get spots come hives some with infected heads like a bad case of acne and would take well over 7 days before they'd settle down.
This morn it had 95% gone , that's in 4 days

Well after using the cream for a good few weeks my daughters hands have not improved which leads me to think it's the constant use of water and chemicals at works (hairdresser) that's causing all the problems she's having. My gave it a try as she has patches elsewhere like the backs of her arms and shoulders.
She complained it stings when she uses it but I think it's simply because her skins split.
We'll keep at it with her but my wife has not had one outbreak since using it.....

plenty of outbursts though :)
