I did a thread on my daughters hands and her skin problems which is putting her job at risk. She has started an apprenticeship and her hands are causing her no ends of problems with skin inflammation and itching and sometimes cracking.
We've been down every avenue latex free gloves creams, barrier creams and finally strong steroid creams from a specialist. They all seem to slightly ease it but only very very slightly it's still there.
She keeps her hands dry and clean all day and creams. The specialist said, (and it was the specialist that prescribed the steroid cream ) that it's eczema and more than likely nothing to do with work. It was by a chance I dropped on a health show last night on BBC2 while channel hopping;-
BBC Two - Trust Me, I'm a Doctor, Series 6, Episode 2 - Could enzymes called endolysins ease eczema symptoms and offer an alternative to antibiotics?
Cut along tale short the new treatment targets the bad bacteria only that causes the itching and inflammation and leave the good bacteria alone. Up till now it's not been possible to target "Staphyloccocus aureus bacteria" the cause of eczema.
This endolysin is called Staphefekt this targets the "Staphyloccocus aureus bacteria" bad bacteria and leaves all the good healthy bacteria alone unlike steroid creams which attack the good and bad bacteria.
Because this is a natural occurring product it does not have to be tested and can be released immediately. On the BBC2 show a woman was on with her child who has suffered with eczema and he has seen a massive improvement since using an on the market product.
The only warning is "If Staphyloccocus aureus plays no part in your skin condition Gladskin will have no affect".
Here's the stuff;-
Reduce itching and redness with Gladskin Eczema
You really have to watch the show on catch up as the test were carried out in Holland. Well I've took a chance and ordered some and I will post up pictures of before and after shots and if there's any improvement over the next couple of months.
