Cycling to lose weight

I've got the bike out eady for an early start, I'm not looking forward to the first ride in over 6 weeks. Slow and steady no climbs :)

Just done 30km, gotta say that was about as ffing painful as it gets, heart rate through the roof and very slow Av. Felt good when I woke (bad move) decided to go for a few climbs and a shorter distance, what a bad decision that were but luckily missed the rain by minutes.

Ive just spent all morning replacing the cables and housing with jagwire pro kit. They've never been done in years and I could never get the rear mech to shift through the middle gears soundly.
My old Dura Ace 7801 groupset had the brake cabling on the outside of the bar tape and shifters so I had nothing to measure up off for the new 7900 groupset which ended up a case of - measure 20 times before cut once. I added new bar tape and now it shifts like a dream, probably the best it's been in 3-4 years, no slipping on the rear mech.
I just wish the weather would give us a break so I can get out.
